We normally meet on the 3rd Thursday of the month. Talks are held in the Catholic Church Hall in Melbourne Avenue, Chelmsford CM1 2DU. Doors open at 1.30pm and the talks start at 2.15pm. Tea/Coffee before the talk. Visits are sometimes arranged to places of scientific interest.
The Science Group annual membership fee is £15 which covers about 10 talks/visits per year. The Scienc Group welcomes u3a members who are not members of the group at their meetings and visits who are charged £2 per meeting or visit.
Our talks and visits cover a wide range of subjects and are for members who are not necessarily scientists but have an interest or wish to know more about science.
