The Jazz & Blues Appreciation group meet once a month simply to listen to and share the appreciation of jazz and blues music.  The group is for anyone who appreciates Jazz, and or Blues.  Members have different levels of knowledge on the subject, which means the members learn from one another.  

A week prior to the group meeting we each pick two pieces of music from our own collection then at the meeting each member gives a short summary about the musician(s) or singer(s) and then we listen to the piece via a You Tube stream.  Usually this results in a group discussion about the piece that has just been played.

Each group member has their own favourite genre, but the great thing about the group is that you get a chance to listen to all kinds of excellent jazz and blues that you may never have heard of before.

Our Leader hosts the meetings in his home and has an excellent sound system.  A very enjoyable morning in good company!
