The Joy of Creating Pictures
Personal Fulfilment Through Art
Creating art brings me joy and significant personal satisfaction. Both making and studying art are deeply rewarding experiences, if not a bit at times frustrating. I also take great pleasure in seeing the work produced by Art Club members, regardless of their skill level. Their efforts reinforce my long-held belief that anyone with the desire can learn to draw and paint. All it takes is time, patience and persistence. Participating in artistic activities allows every individual at whatever level to find enjoyment in their own way.
The Universality of Creativity
Creativity is a fundamental human trait. It’s in our DNA. Every person has the capacity to express creative impulses, enriching their lives in the process. Artistic ability and creativity are not exclusive to a select few; they are inherent in everyone. Through art, we can all share our unique expressions and find fulfilment. Art is a universal language.
Learning the Artistic Process
While mastering specific techniques and materials is important, these are simply practical techniques of art. With proper guidance and consistent practice, anyone can learn to use these tools effectively. Over time, these skills become second nature, making the journey of creating art accessible to all who are willing to pursue it. If you would like to engage in learning and developing your creative painting and drawing skills, get in touch with me, Peter Anderton by email using the link at the top of this page.
We are a friendly inclusive group and meet every Monday at Boreham Village Hall (11:15 to 14:15) except for Bank Holidays and the school summer holiday period (August).
