We take short walks in Chelmsford at an easy pace, taking time to stop and look at evidence of Chelmsford's history, important industrial  heritage, architecture, blue plaques, street art, silly signs and anything that causes us to pause, think and chat. 

We walk mostly on traffic free paths beside rivers, canals, through parks and woodland.

Distances vary, typically 2 or 3 miles and no more than 5 miles, with a turnaround/bail out point for anyone who wants to cut the distance.

We try to find routes that avoid steps, stiles and traffic. When that is not possible we give notice.

We usually meet at Chelmsford Cathedral for the start of the walk and finish near a cafe for a chat.
