This group is for people who are interested in researching their family tree or their ‘roots’ as it is often put. The group covers all aspects of Genealogy and Family History (yes, there is a difference). Often the discussion is group led, but sometimes we have guest speakers or simply watch and discuss a genealogy video.
Why join our group? You may have got 'stuck in a rut' in which case, our group is a great place to find help and get inspired. On the other hand you might feel you have a great deal of knowledge and experience which you would like to pass on to others to help them with their research.
If you have been researching your family history for some time, no doubt you will have noticed how much things have changed! Computers have somewhat taken over with indexes and millions of records now available on-line. Have you kept up to date with these changes? What websites are the most useful? What new research tools are available? What family history software should you use (if any)? Find out the answers to these questions (and more) by joining our group.
