The Interest Groups listed below have elected  to accept Visitors from other u3a’s without the need to become an affiliated member or pay a further subscription fee .  

Please approach the Group Leader in first instance to make sure they have enough spaces.  They will ask you to complete an application form giving  details of the u3a you belong to and your full personal details such as name, address, contact details etc.  These details will be entered on our Membership database. 

It should be noted that Visitor members will not have the right to attend our monthly meetings or vote at our AGM, they cannot become a Trustee (i.e. join our committee), and neither will they receive our monthly newsletter.   They will only be allowed to attend special events or outings if there are insufficient applicants from within Chelmsford u3a paying members.

If the Interest Group has it’s own running costs such as hall hire, refreshments etc Visiting Members will be expected to contribute to these in the same way as other paying members do.

Please note that Membership on this basis is entirely at the discretion of the Group Leader of the interest group you wish to belong to.
